The 24-year-old former actor, who starred in BBC drama Doctorssaid the jurors at Wolverhampton Crown Court he has “never” done anything sexually inappropriate with two children.

Westwood, who also played an “uncredited student” in Sex Education, is charged with 26 counts of sexually abusing two children, a woman and the students he gave acting lessons to.

Taking the stand for the first time during the four-week trial, Westwood wore a blue suit. His first evidence session concerned the woman who accused him of abusing her for seven years.

When asked by his barrister, James Bloomer KC, “did you ever ask her for oral sex?” Westwood said, “No.”
