ITHACA (WBNG) — The Ithaca Police Department announced the arrest of a man Monday following reports of a physical domestic.

The Ithaca Police Department said it arrested Cameron McCaffery on two counts of assault, unlawful imprisonment, criminal possession of a weapon and menacing.

On Nov. 24, the department said officers responded to 118 East Green Street for reports of a physical dispute at 8:30 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers said they found the victim who claimed McCaffery assaulted her and threatened her with an ax.

McCaffery was on the scene and was taken into custody without incident. He was remanded to the Tompkins County Jail without bail.

McCaffery is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
