Jelly Roll and Snoop Dogg drop new song at Nashville Show

The pair also performed a new song that will be featured on Snoop’s upcoming album Missionary

Snoop Dogg made a surprise appearance at Jelly Rollof his Beautifully Broken Tour on Tuesday night at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, joining the country star to debut a collaboration from Snoop’s upcoming album. Missionary.

The song, “Last Dance With Mary Jane,” interpolates Tom Petty’s 1993 classic “Mary Jane’s Last Dance” and unsurprisingly reflects Snoop’s longtime affinity for marijuana. Jelly takes a verse of the song of his own while also singing the chorus featured in Petty’s original version.

After the show was over, Snoop pulled out a blunt and a lighter and went back to Jelly to share it with him. “Oh, he’s lighting a fresh one,” Jelly said before he and Snoop both took a few puffs on stage.

Snoop performed several of his own songs before debuting the Jelly Roll collaboration as well, including his classics “Drop It Like It’s Hot,” “Gin and Juice,” and “Next Episode.”

“Last Dance With Mary Jane” will be released along with the rest Missionary on December 13. Other artists featured on Dr. Dre-product project include Eminem, 50 Cent and Jhené Aiko, among others.

Last night marked Jelly Roll’s last Beautifully Broken tour of the year, with shows set to continue in Canada in March 2025. He’ll play Stagecoach in April, then join Post Malone for the Post’s. Big Ass Stadium Tour, which will likely be one of the top tournaments of next year.

Jelly Roll filled in between show dates, joining Brooks & Dunn’s Ronnie Dunn during the CMA Awards last week to perform his version of “Believe”.
