Nine vehicles destroyed while the electric vehicles left for charging

HYDERABAD: A fire accident took place in Ramanthapur on Wednesday and nine bicycles were parked on the ground floor. The complainant, Gaderaju Sudhakar, a 28-year-old private employee, said that he and his family members live in a three-storey building in Viveknagar, Uppla police station area.

He parks the two-wheelers of his family members on the ground floor. Around 1.30 am, his family woke up to an explosion. When they came out, they saw thick smoke and flames coming from the ground floor. They rushed down and saw that nine two-wheelers, including two e-bikes that remained charged, were completely engulfed in fire.

It is suspected that the fire was caused by an overloaded electrical circuit that spread to the other bikes. The fire destroyed all nine bicycles. The Uppal police are investigating the cause of the fire and further investigations are underway.
