Around 7:40 a.m., Kearney Police, along with the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office, Nebraska State Patrol and members of the Tri Cities Drug Enforcement Team executed a search warrant at a residence near E 8th Street and B Avenue, as part of an ongoing drug investigation.

While searching the home, authorities found 15 firearms, a pound of marijuana and over $5,000 in cash. A young child was also found inside the home and taken to a safe environment, police said.
