Three persons, who robbed an old woman of imitation jewelery at Mukasipidariyur in Chennimalai in Erode district on November 24, were arrested by the police on Thursday. The accused have been identified as Dhanush, 21, and Mahaprabhu, 21, both of Dindigul and Dhandapani alias Ashok, 27, of Chennimalai. During a vehicle check, the Chennimalai police caught them and interrogated them, during which they confessed to the crime. A case was registered and the two-wheeler was impounded.

The man was taken from an ATM

A man, who was found on the move under mysterious circumstances inside an ATM in Thindal Sengodampalayam, was picked up by the police for questioning on Thursday. At 4am, a taxi driver entered the national ATM attached to a bank and found a man with a small cylinder. The driver with the help of a few others caught the person and alerted the Erode North police. The ATM was not damaged, and the police took it to the station for questioning.
